Bill Vieth

“Bill has this amazing ability to mold and make players believe in themselves and the team.  Year-end and year out, his teams just win!  I have admired Bill and the entire Vieth family for what they have done for soccer in the Tristate over the last 40 plus years.  Bill coaches, develops, and gives his players an experience they hold with them for a lifetime!” -Steve McCullough

Coach Vieth has been a staple in the Evansville Soccer community for 35 plus years,   leading the Memorial Tigers to an unprecedented record of 603-116-54 and 11 state Championships! Unfortunately, I only had the opportunity to play for Coach Vieth for one year as part of  Indiana’s Olympic Development Team.   But that hasn’t stopped me from admiring and respecting him from afar.  His competitive fire and passion for leading, teaching, and mentoring young players is second to none.  Vieth molds and teaches his players how to play the game, compete, solve problems and perform under pressure.  The great thing about Coach Vieth is his ability to adapt as the game changes. He continues to overcome any challenge thrown his way and always finds a way to win the big game.

You have touched and taught so many of us in the local soccer community. Not only are you an Evansville Legend but a legend in the state of Indiana.   Bill, thank you for setting the standard for the rest of us to follow!
